Just got an alert by email. They are down for an "emergency Website Maintenance"...Possible cyber-attack? 🤔

Don't read too much into it. I am signed up for about a dozen status boards related to websites that I use on a regular basis, this kind of notice is very common. ChitChats issued alerts 5 times in August when parts or all of their systems were down. Usually these outages only last for a short period of time so unless you are signed up for alerts or use the sites constantly you would never know.
For operations like Stallion the cause of the issue may not be related to their own site but rather issues with the myriad of other sites they are connected to. It's actually pretty rare for Stallion to have an outage but it does happen. Mostly they only affect a single service (a carrier or a customs broker, one of the marketplaces that they are connected to or something as simple as whatever service they use for currency exchange purposes).
When you use Stallion (or similar) you are actually connecting to multiple sites, a problem with any one of them can cause a problem for site you are using even if their systems are working perfectly.
Keep this is mind, there are literally millions of websites using Amazon Web Services, if AWS has a glitch it affects millions of sites that they host. This is one of the big dangers of the cloud. In July AWS had a serious glitch which affected millions of websites all over the world. Fortunately most of these issues are resolved fairly quickly.

Grandpa Simpson here remembers the ebay.com site would regularly crash or would have weekly planned outages in the late 90s, early 00s.
Not too much different today, some might say. 😜

They said 1-3 hours, that was 4 hours ago... it's still down and I have three packages to ship.

9pm, Stallion still down.
I imagine the strike is causing them to make a few more upgrades than planned so that's why they couldn't come back online today. They have yet to send out a message to advise customers.
I was going to bring my packages to Stallion tomorrow but I can't print any labels right now. I now have 4 things I need to ship out.
