For those who are new at using the " vacation mode " and are choosing to put their store on vacation mode and still have their items available for purchase, remember to also bulk edit your handling time ( I set mine to 30 days) . If you do not, you will get " late shipment " ratings that could affect your top rated seller status/ discount .
Good thoughts that the strike does not happen or last long, all the best to everyone !

But really, since you cannot ship and since 'buyers don't read', it is a better idea to make your items invisible for the duration, get out in the sunshine and cultivate your garden.
And it's a labour disruption, not a strike.
If the union does what it did in 2011, they will have revolving strikes lasting a day or two or even just a couple of shifts here and there across the country.
The real problem came when Canada Post management went on strike and locked out the workers for 13 days.

What will happen after the buyer buys the Auction and you tell them that you can't ship because CP is on strike. The first question they ask why did you list if you can not ship and when they ask when you can ship you have to tell them when the strike is over but you do not know when, it could be 2 days or 2 months. It is easier to shut down till it is over and with allot less hassle
