Hi Guys,
I recall a few years ago, that after we use up our monthly 250 free listings (No Store) on eBay.ca, we then could list additional items on eBay.com. Can we still do this?
Next question, Can U.S. sellers list on .ca ??
Thanks
In a word, YES! Canadian eBay sellers who do not have a store, are allotted 250 free listings per month on > eBay.COM. Although for many many years I listed on both .CA and .COM, I no longer list on .COM as my banking system is set for CDN and my USD funds from sales on.COM are automatically converted to CDN before being sent to bank account and there are applicable fees for that)=I no longer choose to give up more fees for the few sales that I do get from eBay. eBay sellers can list on other eBay sites of their choosing, but there may be fees for doing so(I am not that familiar with what goes for USA sellers on .CA)
PayPal always provided their exchange rate at the time of MY choosing to have those USD dollars coverted to CDN. eBay on the other hand does not easily provide that information & I have never been able to find a stated rate. My eBay payouts are monthly so choosing the time to get the best exchange rate doesn't happen with Managed payment system.
working with eBay Managed Payments is not as specific as PayPal...with PayPal on the day/hr/minute one chose to transfer/convert USD to CDN there was a specific exchange rate...not so with eBay's Managed Payment system...too many variables, too many unknowns,...not so easy as it was with PayPal and I prefer to know in advance what my exchange fees are going to be, BEFORE those funds are sent to a bank account. I don't sell enough on eBay to warrant daily payouts, or even weekly payouts, so monthly is where I am at and choosing when I want to have USD exchanged to CDN is impossible with that with eBay's Managed Payment system.
