Shippo Problem

I used SHIPPO for the first time today, carefully adding dimensions, weight etc.  When I printed the Label my weights were not as submitted and the value of the items had changed (this is transferred from eBay).  Is this one of the ongoing problems with SHIPPO?

Thanks.

What weights were you using: grams, kilograms, pounds or ounces?

Dollars: CAD or USD ?

Shippo Problem

I am not going to use Shippo till all the bugs are worked out. I found Canada Post Snap Ship a lot more reliable. And they have an extra 15% off till the end of the month.

same here - no Shippo for me...Quite content to use either PayPal directly or Canada Post Snap Ship depending on  destination & the method of shipping.

Was the label for expedited or xpresspost? If so, it's possible that the weight it transformed to was the dimensional weight which is what it is supposed to do. Do you remember the original dimensions and weight and what weight it was in the end?

Where were you values changed...in the customs form? Is it possible that one currency was entered and it changed to the equivalent in another currency?

It was for Small Packet Air. I only noticed the changes after the label was printed. One item was for 20.00 CDN and the other for $10.00 CDN. On the label both showed as $20.00 CDN.

Can you provide specific data re the dimensions and weight you supplied versus what was printed on the label? It's probably no more than a volumetric calculation but without data we can't be certain to give you that advice.

Small packet doesn't use volumetric pricing, it is based only on weight.

Shippo Problem

Been using the Paypal shipping module for a long time and have not had any of the problems you are discussing here. If Shippo was doing their job there would be no need for a forum LOL. Only thing i don't like about Paypal is their new shipping page but other than that i'll keep using it.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I know that. But it didn't stop the cubic weight from being shown on my last Tracked Packet postage label.

Are you referring to the customs declaration?

Shippo (by default) uses American measures, and it appears using metric is just a conversion. In other words, you enter metric, Shippo stores as American, then converts back when printing the label with resulting conversion errors. All of my Shippo labels (so far) have customs info that is off by 1 gram.

Weights in this example were entered as 0.12, 0.12, 0.38 and 0.18 kg.  As you can see, all are off by one gram. For customs, this not a big issue as the declared $ value is what the inspectors concerned with -- still it would be nice if Shippo used exactly what you enter for weights.

...

As for dollar values, all mine match what came from eBay or what I entered when editing.
