I'm trying to buy 5 items from one seller. I bought 4 of them by clicking 'Buy It Now' which takes me to 'Review and commit to buy', then click 'Commit to Buy' which lets you 'Continue Shopping' or 'Pay Now'. This is the expected behaviour for all the years I've been on ebay. For the 5th item (380621817904) clicking 'Buy It Now' takes me to 'Checkout: Review order' and then directly to PayPal. There is no option to pay later or request an invoice for all 5 items. It's bizarre.
I sent the seller an email about the problem. They sent me an invoice for the 4 items. I sent a follow up email. They replied to both emails but it appears they do not understand what I'm talking about. Is there a setting in the listing that could be changed to allow it to work as normal? I'd like some solid information about fixing the problem before going back to them again. Right now it looks like the only option is to go to ebay.com (instead of .ca), add the extra item to the shopping cart, pay for the 4 items with combined shipping plus the new item plus the new item shipping and hope they refund the extra shipping charge later.

It appears that the seller may have listed that one as "immediate payment required". That is what usually happens, it takes you immediately to the checkout screen. Message the seller and explain the problem. I am sure they can modify the listing if they so choose, especially since you bought 4 other items. Good luck.

I have had a buyer email me explaining that he had the exact same problem you had when trying to buy from my listings on Ebay that were "Buy Now"...... so you are not the only person with this problem.
Also ...... As a seller ... Ebay charges me a 10% fee on your shipping charge that you paid to me and in addition Paypal also charges another 2.9% to 3.9%. This means that I have to charge the buyer more than the actual shipping cost to break even on shipping. It also costs labor for handling ... no one works for free.

Seems like ebay.ca (Canada listings) doesn't support the "cart" buy it now.
Purchases take you directly to paypal for payment.
