Descriptions aren't matching photo before bidding

I have been finding for several years now with the fashion jewellery being described as something it is not! Described as stamped 925/ or S925, it is. But saying its Sterling silver has buyers believing that they are buying solid 925 Sterling silver. Sellers should not be able to deceive potential buyers. It has gotten so out of hand with these descriptions being false!

i am also finding more and more that a description doesn't match the item being sold. Example. Teeth whitener for description they describe foundation makeup.

i just purchased cushion covers. Picture was correct, but description described a totally different  picture.. Had to have it cancelled. I didn't want to end up receiving the wrong ones by end of November.

i have been pleased with most items I have purchased. But these Sellers need to get it together to describe truthfully and descrcription to match its picture. I'm getting so tired with what's been happening to the point of wondering if going through this is worth the stress. I'm not that desperate, I may just cancel my buying account.

Re: Descriptions aren't matching photo before bidding

Don't cancel your eBay account!  After so much time you would likely regret that.  Your problems are because you keep buying from China.  They lie, they misrepresent, they show one item and send another.  In Canada no one would be allowed to get away with what they are doing on eBay.  Since there is nothing you can do about that you will have to change how you shop.

When you search for anything, stick to buying from North America.  Its under Location on the left side of your computer screen  or Refine on your phone.  If you insist on buying from China just accept that it will always be a gamble, you will never get real gold or silver, or even real leather, but you will receive an item of inferior quality and not as nice as the picture.  Up to you.
