I have come across similar situations.
When dealing with stamps, it is easy to make a mistake and offer two identical items.
Periodically, to check all my listings.
I take a look at my Selling Manager and sort all items alphabetically using the title column. Since I always use the same system for titles: country - date of issue - brief description - catalogue number, it is relatively easy to spot duplicate listings and then remove them.
Good Luck.

Just add an extra letter or number or - or . or even a space at the end of the listing. The system should stop sensing it as a duplicated listing.
And please use punctuation in your posting x_o

Do you happen to know whether a slightly different price will have the same effect?
The reason I ask is that I use Auctiva auction management. In order to prepare multi-variation listings and still have the benefit of the Auctiva frames, fonts, etc. I would have to upgrade to a higher Auctiva monthly fee, which I'd rather no do for just a dozen or so items. I suppose I could list them directly on eBay, but I don't like the "plain Jane" appearance of eBay listings.
