How to add items to other lists I've created, not Watch or Wish Lists

When I'm looking at an item, the drop down menu only gives me options to add to Watch List or Wish List.  I've created other lists but to put an item in there, I first have to add it to Watch or Wish List, then go into that list and move it to the list I really want it in and delete it from the other one.  Why don't all my lists show up in the drop down box?
