Hi I have a friend who saw a ring on ebay in December that had just sold. Is their anyway he can get in touch with the person who bought it. He would like to buy it off him. He is willing to pay twice the price it went for?

He can contact the seller and ask if the seller is willing to give your friend’s contact information to his buyer.
Most will say no. Some will ask for a commission (5 to 10% of the new selling price is normal).
And then the original buyer can say yes or no. Unless your friend is very generous in his offer, the chances of a purchase are low. The exception being if the buyer was buying for resale, in which case he can list a private auction for your friend at a price which would take into consideration your friend’s lust for the item.
Doubling the price, even including the cost of shipping, may not be enough.
