I got a message stating that I was issued a refund, but the paypal transaction ID is invalid?

I did not receive an item that I purchased, so ebay opened a case with the seller, who agreed to give me a full refund. Ebay sent a message stating that the refund has been issued, but the Paypal Transaction ID is invalid and I do not have the money or notification in my Paypal account. How do I get this problem solved?

I'm sorry to hear this transaction did not turn out as you hoped. Sometimes it takes a little bit of time for a transaction to show in your paypal account. (Also, you must be sure you're checking agains the correct email address if you use more than one. Or if it has changed.) It might take five minutes or 20 minutes to appear. Finally, if the refund really isn't there within 24 hours, I think you'll have to call ebay to find out what the problem might be. Good luck as you carry forward.

If you back your PP account with a credit card, which is a very very good idea, check there to see if the refund has already been credited back to the card.
