I recently purchased an item from vanilaise. I successfully completed my end of the deal. Monies paid instantly. She marked it shipped, but no Feedback. I had asked her why. She replied that she didnot post Buyer's feedback until she received hers. And if her's was unfavourable she would recipricate more unfavourably. We got into some discussion after she mentioned she was going to rate me poorly. I said what did I do wrong. No real response. Then I added that I have final say on the transaction. She recanted the poor feedback rating but put in an unfavourable comment about me. Which is not true, I knew she was hold Buyer Feedback as a hostage to gaurantee favourable feedback. Some of her neutral feedback should have been negative! I'm surprised she doen't have more negative feedback for communications.
I have complained many times by phone about these practices. With not response. There has to be a clear line drawn that addresses the buyers and sellers, withthe sellers having another say if the buyers are abusing sellers.
Please respond to me by way of email.
P.S. I give you authorization to view my email account regarding vanilaise. Thank-you. Pat Bazan.

Hi Pat, 🙂
Gee, it's really a day for feedback problems, isn't it. See this one:

Anyway, the seller cannot rate you poorly. Don't worry about it. For that matter, you can have her comment removed because no one is allowed to leave a negative comment beside a green circle. And sellers cannot leave negatives for buyers, for precisely these kinds of reasons. No one likes to be nagged, but it's no reason to leave negatives either. See the following link about feedback removal:

And a word to the wise, - this is a member to member message board where ebay users just like yourself swap thoughts and information. No one from ebay will swoop in to assist you. You might try calling ebay, however, via the Customer Service connection found in the upper right corner.

Sellers cannot rate their experience with a buyer ,as dmil has pointed out ,other than refusing to leave any. Some sellers perfer to leave after receiving from buyer for that reason. Also , there are still some under the false perception that they can.
If i was going to ask a seller for feedback ( i would never do) i would at least wait until after i had given mine.

The problem started with you asking for feedback. There is no legitimate reason for you to ask why they not left any. You're fortunate sellers can no longer leave negs because if they could, I'm sure your seller would have because of your pestering them about feedback.
Never ask for feedback or ask why feedback hasn't been left. Feedback is a voluntary.
