Can I sell the same item, the original transaction was canceled? This is to the same buyer

If it is mutual between the seller and the buyer that the seller wants to sell the item to the same buyer, then re-list the item, and email the listing # of the new listing (relisted item) to the buyer.  If you are worried that another buyer might come along and scoop the item before the certain buyer purchases it, then wait for a time when both you and the buyer are communicating on line together to send the new listing # to them.

Even easier, use the buyer's name as the title.

Make the listing 30 days Fixed Price Good Til Cancelled. About the cheapest format available.

And then give him a deadline (48 hours for example) If he doesn't meet the deadline, you can change the title (and revise other details if you want) and the listing will continue but be much more visible.
