Shipping from the USA to Canada

I've been trading on eBay for over 10 years but the new shipping policies are making it so it is easier to deal with Hong Kong and China rather than the US.  I have seen several items I would like to bid on but the Int'l Priority shipping makes them too expensive.  Is it possible for the seller to opt out and send it First Class instead?

The seller may be using that option to protect themselves against item not received disputes. They may have had such disputes in the past and couldn't prove the item was delivered and lost money in the transaction.

You can always ask the seller if they are willing to use First Class international but there is no guarantee they will.

Non payers should get unpaid item strikes and be added to block bidders lists. Period.

Let your seller know that First Class International to Canada is now Delivery Confirmed. That may help.

But if the item is over $100, you may be better off to allow the Global Shipping Program and prepay duty and sales tax, if only because the GPS service charge of $4.95 is less than the $9.95 service charge of Canada Post.
