I have a buyer from Finland, with chit chat, I save $3.30 in shipping, CP charges me 8.78 light packet and with chit chat it is about $5.48. Since the buyer from Spain still hasn't got their item, I'm a little weary of using chit chat for international. It may be only Spain that's a problem and has nothing to do with the chitchat process for international mail.
What is your experience with international and chit chat?

I would use Canada Post for all International Shipping.

I think I mentioned in another thread, 2 missing in 4 years.
The ONLY thing different about shipping via chit chat and shipping via CP is the plane they leave Canada on, they will both be dumped on the loading dock of Posti in Helsinki and it's entirely possible the CC one will get there first.
For your extremely low risk items just face facts, you will lose the odd package, you will have delayed packages that require extra buyer hand holding but you will sell more stuff and you will make more money. If you start blocking any country where you have an issue you will eventually find that you have blocked all the countries where most of your buyers (used to) come from.

Thanks. I wasn't going to block Finland as I have sent a number there and their postal system seems quite fast. I was just concerned about chit chat and international shipments. I just wanted feedback from other sellers as to sending international with chitchat, was there any delays or snags I wasn't aware of. That was my first international with chit chat, before that I was only using it for the US and that has turned out fantastic.
Also I came across this, does anyone know about this:

The Item Shipped notice I send buyers indicates an extra week to Germany over other Western European destinations, Germany customs which was once fast and efficient, is now thorough but slow. It started immediately after the toner cartridge mail bombs from Yemen episode in the Fall of 2010. I think it's gotten a bit better in recent years. And again whatever service you use you will run into the exact same bottlenecks.
