Moissanite is an interesting stone. It rates a 9.25 out of 10 on the hardness scale. It is also extremely high on the color flash scale. Wearability is bar none. A very good stone replacement for diamond as it is very hard to tell the difference. I have a moissanite and diamond ring in white gold tucked away and it is gorgeous. Impossible to tell which is diamond and which is a moissanite. As for Charles and Colvard, I have no info on their work.

I know that they are stunningly beautiful...I have always pretty much been a diamond person before...but they are almost as expensive as diamonds, aren't they! I know that I'm spending alot of time griping here lately, but you are a fellow jewelry seller...how are you finding the business lately? I'm so disgruntled today, that I'm thinking of gruntling off of ebay and letting my sore head heal (from banging it against the wall)...the definition of insanity is repeating the same action and expecting a different result...!!

Was having a fairly decent summer with sales but has mellowed the last two weeks. But remember allot of the casual sellers who take the summer off are back, plus we had penny gallery days, so a large amount of good things are up for sale now but I am sure within a week or so most will be gone and buyers will be back. I do get most of my bidding going on in the last 24 hours plus have increased my prices to compensate for the rising dollar and slower sales. I also believe people are not totally in Xmas mode as of yet. Now place a cool wet cloth on your head and take a couple of aspirin and soon it will be all better. Just don't jar any of the little voices loose with the banging.

Thanks, Don, for your soothing words! Just blowing some steam out my ears! I love ebay, and I am positively addicted to the buying and selling...just had such a frustrating night/morning with whackos who annoyed me. Had another today on my 18k pearl that sold...a lady wrote and offered me $40 more to back out of my sale with the excellent customer who bought it! They get nervier and nervier...I told her that she should have bid!!! Then she was annoyed that I only had one of them, like I manufacture them or some darned thing! Hey, I got an invite into a "very exclusive" group today...someone must be snitching on me!!!

Hey KP!!

One thing about moissanite...is the color. It does have that greyish or greenish or yellowish tinge, which is totally fine...but to offset that, and make the stone appear more white, be sure and set it in a yellow gold, rather than white or rose gold. The white and rose gold just makes the moissanite look more yellow 🐵

Other than that, I like it too.
