NO SALES

Hello everyone,

I know this is not a busy time of year for sales, but I have had none all week and that`s very unusual for me, has anyone else exerienced this? not trying to be a downer just wondering.

Re: NO SALES

Oh Please !!! Your sales are $445.68 for the last seven days.

Just wondering how you consider that number equating to zero sales?

Re: NO SALES

My sales are $0.00 for the last 50 days! 😞

Did I mention my eBay store and website closed on December 6th and have not re-opened yet! 😉

Re: NO SALES

January through March are the busiest months for me. Always have been.

So it may depend on the category.

May I ask, how you know that ?

Last seven days is also last 3 days from last week, the OP complained about no sales all week, perhaps he meant this week.

Re: NO SALES

This January will go down in our history as the most sales ever for any previous month to date for both our stores.

I think it really depends on your product. Christmas decorations are probably on a low-cycle lol.

Re: NO SALES

My recollection in my category is that the last 2 weeks of January are slower as people choke on their credit card bills. One just has to hold one's breath until the "blow your tax refund" season begins....

Having said this the darned change eBay made in October where new items don't get higher visibility any longer does seem to have translated (for me) into a lasting negative impact on my sales...doing some experiments now to try to devise ways to boost visibility again, seemingly an annual process anymore given how often the eBay rules change.......keeps it from being boring anyway!

Re: NO SALES

Closing for a weeks vacation in Jan. didnt help sales, but it sure was more than worth it.
January is the slowest month for most sellers, I'm sure, and this is a topic that always comes up this time of year. People are busy paying for their Christmas debts and worrying about their taxes, I guess.
It will pickup, it always does. And I find that this is a great time to get away from the computer for a while and take the dog for a walk, cross country ski, or get out and do whatever it is you like to do.

Re: NO SALES

I usually do very well from January to March. Sales aren't bad this month but are definitely down.

I checked Omniture and the page views are about 4,000 less than last January and about 11,000 less than January of 2009. And I have a lot more listings than I did 2 years ago.

No problem with sales. January will be a great month for us.

Bernie - Christmas decor is actually selling as strong in January as it was in December. Not sure how long it will last, but would rather move it now than have it sit in my stockroom until November. (Selling mostly to Americans.. not sure why.. but seeing lots of reindeers and Christmas lights being sold to Florida and Texas).

Re: NO SALES

January has been disastrous for me. Sales are down about 60-70%, as is traffic. Our wholesale side is down globally as well, so I would think that January is a rough month overall.

Looking forward to seeing the end of it.

January has been a good month for me. Would have been much better if I didn't sell out of a couple of the more popular cartridges and have to search around more for more empties lol.

But overall, I'm happy with my sales for the month. Let's see what February brings once I get the more popular cartridges in stock.

Re: NO SALES

I used to sell a lot more from oct to year end, but the last two years been kind of flat. Every month has been pretty much the same.

Hi dipmicro,

All anyone has to do is do an advanced search for seller and mark that you want completed listings only and you can see exactly what anyone has sold and/or what listings did not sell.

Re: NO SALES

Surprising January has been very good too me. However, I am selling video games so it really depends on what you are selling.

It doesn't work that way now with many sellers using multiples in thier listings due to the duplication rule. Completed listings search will now only show listings that have expired, single item listings (sold or unsold) or have sold all the multiples the seller had in that listing. So you won't really have an accurate count.

Easiest way now is if the seller has a habit (like myself) of leaving feedback as soon as they get paid or shipped thier item. Then you can see what they sold in the "Feedback left for others" tab.
