PP payment updates in selling manager

Has anyone ever come across something like this?

Buyer pays via paypal (using ebay checkout). PP email shows payment, together with the item # in the subject line, etc but selling manager does not show the item as paid?

I usually only log into paypal to withdraw funds, preferring to use PP mails for confirmation of payment as well as seeing the payment show on selling manager.

Xena, it happens occasionally. I usually wait several hours and if it doesn't move over to paid I'll go into Seeling Manager Pro and mark it as paid.

There can be legit reasons why it doesn't move. If the buyer pays by e-check it won't move until the check clears. Or, if you have your profile settings to "ask" for acceptance of payments from unconfirmed addresses, it won't move until you go into your PayPal account and accept the payment.

On occasion there appears to be no real reason why it doesn't move over to paid. If I had to guess I would say it is once in a hundred transactions that I can find no real reason.

Thanks Bill,

I know about the e-check thing and I have my PP settings at "automatically convert" for foreign funds (this one was in AU$) and, so far, everything had flowed nicely.

Come to think of it, a few things are wonky on eBay today. Must be some server brownouts of theirs.

yeah also if he paid via paypal straight to your email and not check out could happen as well i believe
