My Buyer is from Canada....This is the contact info I received for invoicing:--

dhfggghkuh uljfjghjkgh
xdgfjgfgjgh
vgju
fjfggjghjubb, MB w6a 2q1
Canada
(568) 568-9767

I did a reverse check on the phone #...it is not valid.
I checked the postal code....no such postal code exists..obviously this is some kind of spoof

There is talk on .com that I can now expect lots of spoof emails, etc.

I tried to cancel the purchase....but it was a store purchase...not a bid. Does anyone know how I can do this?

How can eBay allow a person to register with this false I.D!!
Now he has my info... thanks to the "thank you for your Purchase" email sent by ebay (or paypal)

SPAM COMING in disguise as a BUYER!

Got same thing tonight with Ab province. A number of reports on .com today about this from Canada now (was Austria past couple days. My guy NARU before I noticed the sale. Yahoo emails and they can sign up with nonsense? What happened to cc or phone if you use a free email? Their system can't detect random characters for an address?

I'm dealing with the same problem -- about a week ago I had two different "buyers" purchase items in my store, registered from China, and ALL of their contact info (ie. name, address, etc.) was filled in to eBay as "????????????????????????" They became non-registered within days, however since then I've been receiving SPAM emails unlike any phishing email I've ever received before, coming in record numbers (close to 50 a day!) disguised as "Question from an eBay member." Clearly somebody including my email address to their spamming software. How could eBay even allow a spammer (let alone TWO) to officially register to eBay in the first place as "????????????????" is beyond me, and would have stopped this nonsense in the first place! We're in 2007, shouldn't we be in an age where this can no longer happen? Guess all of my annually ever-increasing seller fee's haven't been going to eBay's IT department budget!!
