Tried to print labels for shipping and price was different than what customer was charged

I am trying to find a cheaper way to send my items to the US, I picked small packet and small packet air. On ebay it showed the US customers the Canada standard delivery of about 9.85, when I try to check out with paypal the shipping is 15.56.  What did I do wrong?

I am aware there is no standard delivery to the US, just don't understand why it would show that to them.  I am getting quite frustrated with shipping to the US as I am sure most are, it is a constant headache.

Don't know what the $9.85 is. Selse will. The $15.56 is Small Packet air to the USA for 501g - 1K.

Re: Tried to print labels for shipping and price was different than what customer was charged

$9.85 is probably USD which would be about $10.35 CAN which is the price of Small Packet Air USA 251-500 grams. So US buyer on ebay.com would see the $9.85 USD equivalent of the shipping cost of $10.35 CAN.

So it looks like it was listed as 500 gram class Small Packet USA Air but was shipped using 1 kg class Small Packet USA Air.

Seller mistake in setting up shipping cost in listing ??? Incorrect weight used?

Nope. $10,35 is about $10.16 today.

My listings are in US dollars, and it is possible I made a mistake.  I pulled all my auctions and such as I didn't want anything else to sell with a mistake like that just not real sure what I did, I will try again and see what happens I guess, should I be able to see both the Canadian and US shipping amounts when it is just an auction or do I have to wait til someone wins/buys and then am aware what it is

Here is the shipping cost shown on eBay.com for a listing created on eBay.ca with calculated shipping with SP Air USA 500 grams. eBay listing currency calculator and other currency calculators are not using the same conversion factors.

Re: Tried to print labels for shipping and price was different than what customer was charged

To check the shipping costs, change one of your listings and schedule it 2 weeks in the future. Then you can go into scheduled listings and change the country and postal codes in the shipping section to see what you will show to buyers. You can experiment and try different shipping option and weights and sizes in the scheduled listings by using revise. You then can learn how it behaves for what you want to do.

Then either delete the scheduled listings or put in a scheduled time when you want it to really start.

Since you are a non-store account, scheduled listings are free. Non-store has to pay a 10 cent scheduled fee.

Using scheduled listings to temporarily hold listings is a good way to check how they look and how shipping looks and works. It is better than Preview in the Sell Your Item form since it lets you see your listing as real as a live active listing.

PS To see how it will look like on eBay.com with US $$ showing, login into eBay.com and check your scheduled listings there. Please not that the shipping & Payments tab will show Can $$ but the shipping cost under on the main page under the price will show Can and US $$. Remember that you are logged into eBay.com if you stay there too long. Things are different on eBay.com so log out and go back to eBay.ca before getting confused.
