When I bid on an item my user name is shown every other bid is private how do I change that? I want my ID private

Only you and the seller can see your user name.

All other bidders either see private it is a private listing

Just sign out and then check the bidding history. You won't see your ID. As toby said, only you and the seller can see it. It is normal, since you are logged in 😉
