Why does the shipping calculator say my postal code is invalid?

Why does the shipping calculator say my postal code is invalid?

It is possible that the wrong letter or number was entered?

For example letter O instead of numeral 0 (zero)?

Or lower case letter l instead of numeral 1 (one)?

etc...

Or is it a new postal code (new housing development for example) not yet entered into the system?

Check the postal code you are using here for typos

No, I am typing it correctly into the space.  Sometimes it is even already there, through the eBay system.  As soon as I click on "calculate", it says the code is invalid.

As soon as I click on "calculate",

Calculate or Re-calculate?

NEVER click on re-calculate.

Just don't.

There is no recalculate on the shipping calculator. You must be referring to an ebay invoice which has nothing to do with the poster's question.

I get this constantly - many many listings cannot calculate for my Canadian postal code, when it is entered correctly. And these are OFFERING to ship to canada!

Try using the postal code for your local Canada Post office. Ever since CP changed and combined postal routes I have noticed it causes some problems with online ordering. Turbo Lister still doesn't recognize my new (3 yrs old now) postal code. Even some Govt of Canada sites will only recognize my post office postal code where my mail is all sorted.
