how do you report a seller

How do you report a user that is defrauding everyone that purchases from them? Does eBay do something if they have a lot of negative feedback?

Re: how do you report a seller

Eventually, all the negatives will trigger an internal warning of some kind and ebay will pull the plug on them. Given that I already understand to whom you are referring, I'm a little surprised that hasn't already happened for this seller. If you'd like to invest the time, you can call eBay Customer Service and expedite that process.

Please understand that most transactions on ebay don't go so badly as yours did this last time. Don't let this experience discourage you from finding decent sellers, please. They are out there. If you look among the ones here, for example, you might find one who sells what you want.

Good luck as you carry forward.

Re: how do you report a seller

Yes, Thank you. I have bought from eBay for years now and this is the first time this has happened. Everything seemed good when I purchased the Item, I had no reason to be concerned as they had a couple good reviews but now just out of let field there are all these negative feedback and I am tired of the "keep waiting it will come" yup nope! But Thank you for all your help, it is much appreciated.

I even filed a Paypal claim because it said I had to wait until the end of July to make a claim on eBay. I have waited long enough and I didn't feel like waiting another month to get that money back.

Again thank you for all your help.

Re: how do you report a seller

When your claim is processed any feedback and probably the DSRs will be removed, but you may as well try to leave it now, if you can and if things are as messed up as you say.

Remember that the most effective fb is calm and factual. No vulgarity, name calling, CAPS or exclamation points!!!!

And the lowest Detailed Seller Rating is ONE STAR. No stars is a free pass and a normal transaction should get Five Stars.

Unless the seller wins the claim, the feedback will NOT be removed.

Re: how do you report a seller

I was going to say that but I wasn't sure it was the case. I've seen some extremely raunchy feedback posted on pages and, unless the seller is motivated to speak up about it, it stays put. The only time I can think of that it automatically vanishes is if it was an Unpaid Item case where one party left feedback before the case concluded.

In this specific instance, I would be very surprised if the seller objected. I'm thinking he/she has probably moved on to other things.

Re: how do you report a seller

If the buyer won an item not received case and the feedback stated that the item was not received, there's really nothing for the seller to object too even if they wanted to. Even if there was some name calling in the feedback, in this type of situation ebay may remove the words in the feedback but they often do not remove the actual negative.

I do agree that this seller has probably checked out of this account and is unlikely to worry about their feedback at this point.

Re: how do you report a seller

Anyone who fell for this scam did it to themselves. It should have been obvious that the buy it nows were a scam. Before the negs the seller had 2 feedback and was selling things at a set prices with free shipping that were too good to be true.

The crooked seller probably shipped expedited parcel so the tracking would show that the "items" (empty boxes) were delivered and knowing ebay they would have decided the claims in the crooks favour. But now I would think they would have to refund the buyers.

The buyer of the

Onyx Boox M96 4GB Black

has not figured out the scam yet it would seem.

Everything is obvious in hindsight.
