How would I know if taxes are included in the final price before paying?

The other day I auctioned an item and won but when I payed, there was a tax fee listed on paypal, which was not listed on the ebays price lists. I wanted to cancel but it was too late. I had to pay.

Some sellers state in their listings that they charge taxes,which are always in addition to and not included in the winning bid price. If you are not sure, the time to ask is before you place a bid.

Is that for the headphones?  Sellers are supposed to state in their listings if they charge tax, as well as have their GST number on the invoice.  Your seller very clearly asserts:

CANADIAN RESIDENTS PLEASE NOTE GST HST WILL BE ADDED TO WINNING BID
