All my Canada Post Expedited labels since the strike ended have all been over the price I pay when I buy the label. Prices are increased by ~$3 every time for no reason. My weight and dimensions are accurate; this never happened before. UPS has also been doing it during the strike (haven't used them since). Canada Post has been known for doing that (reporting fake weights and dimensions to increase profits), but never with labels from eBay.

For Canada Post packages, what are the dimensions? Can this issue be ruled out?
Are these over charged being sent to the same city or local area?
If you were to purchase another label, does the estimate match what you paid in the end or what the previous estimate was?

Honestly, I've had that issue before, where the label prints the dimensions I had when I made the listings, and every new change wouldn't reflect once printed. However, I suspected that it was only cosmetic since I've never been upcharged for it.
My last package was printed with the correct dimensions, and it was still overcharged. The dimensions were like 50x40x5 cm. I've had various-sized packages sent out since the strike ended, and most of them are charged higher after the fact.

Just happened to me. Bought postage eBay labels (Canada Post Expedited, Halifax to Hamilton Ont) Oct 28 for $15.98. Billed yesterday (Oct 30) at $17.98

This is an ongoing issue for the last few months with Canada post labels. So much so I have had to call them every couple of weeks in hopes to get a credit (currently waiting on 2). It is also now happening with UPS labels. I just had to call eBay on Wed with 13 labels including 2 that were overcharged by $8 to the eIS hub. eBay knows there is an issue, what there are doing about it is anyone’s guess.
Super frustrating!

As far as Canada Post is concerned:
When you try to fight a wrong label charge, Ebay will tell you to talk to Canada Post, and Canada Post will say to talk to eBay. Went through 2 different supervisors on either side, and it's been a good waste of time. It's honestly shameless, more so on eBay's side since they are the actual buyer of the label but will bring up any excuses as to why they are "unable" to. At the end of the day, you (the seller) just get clowned and get to eat the few bucks they make off of you for free.
Not sure about UPS, but they will bill you an extra $8 for any reason they can find, such as a postal code adjustment or other bogus reasons. I would avoid using them for eIS hub shipping. UPS also added a 0.5 to $1 overcharge to most of my shipping labels during the strike, probably knowing that most people wouldn't bother to fight it, and that business was booming during the strike, so they could take advantage of a higher number of people and it would go unnoticed.

The same thing has been happening to me for weeks now. None of the labels I have purchased are the correct amount as when I purchased them. Again yesteday I sent a parcel by Canada Post Expedited in the same city as me. Was $9.98. Today I checked & I was charged $13.77. For eBay to show us sellers one amount & then just charge more for it is so unethical & dishonest.

As an experiment I sent an expedited lite label to the hub a few days ago and was upcharged on it. It was towards the upper end of the size limits, but it WAS within the limits. Seems like they don't have that issue fixed yet either.

What was the original estimate on your Lite label vs the first charge?
Does the final upcharge on Lite labels to Hub match the estimate given for Expedited to the hub, or is it more?
My estimate was $11.39, charged only $6.40 (first charge), waiting for expected second Lite upcharge to come still.

It looks like it was $6.42 for the expedited lite label and I was charged an extra $4.72. I think the quote for the normal expedited was $8 something to the hub, so it was definitely upcharged more than I expected.

I think there was an error in the discount % eBay was showing in the "Calculated shipping cost" for Canada Post labels (only bought two expedited lite and those were priced correctly). Therefore, the real price would later be billed by Canada Post, where the discrepancy would show up. For example, the label for a 1.1kg (50X40X3 cm) used to show $9.07, but it's now like $11.51 when you enter the same specifications. Which makes me think that the bug has been fixed, because someone I know talked to a supervisor who brought it up to the technical team. I added some handling fees for now, just to be sure, because I doubt they will refund anything.

I actually got this wrong. I logged onto dot com to check since you can get a little more info there. eBay charged me $6.42 for the label with an additional $4.72 upcharge. The original cost that showed when I purchased the label was $8.45. I believe the normal expedited was $8.65 or something. I know it was very close which was why I decided to run the experiment and see if Expedited Lite was working yet.
