Checking Tariff Rate on Zonos before Listing

Just wondering how easy it is to check tariff, etc. charges with Zonos if not actually shipping yet.  Basically before listing, if that is possible.

Re: Checking Tariff Rate on Zonos before Listing

With zonos prepay*, VERY easy, just go up to the point where you get to the "complete" button - just don't hit the "complete".

The tariff owing displays on the screen with the "complete" button on it.

No big problem if you do actually hit complete, I suspect a lot of people were, thats why they note it will be deleted if it isn't used in 5 days..... note though that everything I sell (stamps) is zero tariff. I suspect if there was a tariff you'd be presented with a payment screen to pay the tariff, not paying of course would stop the process too - others likely have experience with that.

*Note I don't use the  zonos application that is attached to ones account as I'm not paying the $2 per evaluation given my tariff is always zero (so I pay nothing via prepay). I assume though even in that case the $2 isn't applied until the "complete" is hit, but others will have to answer that part.

If you go the alternate route of using automatic billing with Canada Post (instead of prepay app), you would also have access to the Item Quoter in the Zonos Dashboard Lite to get estimates based on description, they have a video showing the steps for this:

Re: Checking Tariff Rate on Zonos before Listing

Thanks.  Getting ready to start listing again in January and thought this was the case.   I have a good amount of zero tariiff as made in US or by category but there are a few things that will likely support higher shipping with the tariff built into the shipping amount since they are lower tariff items.

You need a complete strategy these days when selling mixed goods!

Re: Checking Tariff Rate on Zonos before Listing

Thanks, great tip.  I will mainly have zero tariff items for the main part so will likely go with prepaid but very good to know.

Re: Checking Tariff Rate on Zonos before Listing

I've been using zonos and everything has been going smoothly until the items cross the border.   All of my shipments have been "delayed" since December 5th.  Nothing is moving.  That was so predictable.  USPS is no way prepared to deal with tariffs even when prepaid.  I rarely watch how my shipments progess but this is concerning.  NOTHING is moving unless I ship XPresspost.

Appears to be about a 12 day delay currently for packages going through ISC Chicago customs.

Are you packages getting through?

Re: Checking Tariff Rate on Zonos before Listing

I have one that's been stuck at ISC Chicago since December 3rd. Going on 14 days now with no updates. Ugh.

Another one supposedly left Chicago on Dec 9 but no updates since then.

Other packages shipped just days before these two got through customs in just a couple of days. Something is going on in Chicago that is massively delaying packages.
