Glitch in payment

I have an unusual problem, I was attempting to purchase a set of headphones with a mic. When I clicked on to pay for the purchase, I got a red box saying it can't go through.

Problem is I tried four (4) times, got the same message, so I stopped, and made a different purchase, that went right through with no problems.

 

I was using my Virtual Visa Debit card, which goes from eBay through Paypal to my bank account.

 

Now here is my Problem, I checked my bank account online, and I seen four (4) purchases for this set of headphones with a mic. Now why did the money part go through and not the sale.

 

I contacted the seller, and explained what had happened, but there answer was what I expected, they know nothing about it.

 

There are four (4) withdrawals from my account to this one seller and not one purchase was made.

 

I have searched all over the place on how to contact eBay, but it's impossible to contact eBay..

Has anyone ever have this happen to them, or is there a way for a solution here?

I would love to get this resolved, that is like $51.96 gone, into someone bank account.

You don't need eBay.

You need the Customer Service at Visa.There is a phone number on the back of ...... the card. Well, okay, on your monthly invoice.

 

Call and ask about their chargeback service.

You might also talk to your bank that issued the virtual card about chargebacks.

This is new to me @ypdc_dennis, wish I had something more meaningful to add. 

 

@binkie38 - is it possible that these were 'pending' charges from the card? I've seen that happen in the past (similar to pre-authorizations when buying gas). If they're pending charges they usually clear within 2-3 business days in my experience. 

 

Otherwise, I agree with other folks here that you may need to contact Visa directly.

No, not any pending charges.

I have taken care of this through my bank.

 

Just a crying shame you can not contact eBay any way or forum. Not right.

What happened when you clicked the "Help & Contact" link that's at the top of every eBay page?

It brings up a page and shows the products that you have purchased, then you can contact ebay only with one of your products.

 

Try contacting ebay without a product, "impossible"

Difficult but not impossible.

You skip over any purchases shown and continue down the page to CONTACT US

Next page click on "Buying"

Next page click on "Paying for items"

Which takes you to:

https://www.ebay.ca/help/buying/paying-items/paying-items-credit-debit-card?id=4038

 

Down to the bottom of that page where you have the choice of Chat or Have us call you

 

Not that I consider your glitch to be one the ebay support people could solve quickly.
