I accepted a best offer and I sent an invoice this is my first sale on ebay how long do i have to wait and do I have to send them a reminder or something?

From what I understand, ebay sends the buyer a reminder 2 days after end of sale. Four days after end of sale, you should file an unpaid item dispute (you do not have to notify the buyer beforehand). Four days after filing, you can close the dispute if the buyer still hasn't paid. Once you close it, the buyer gets an unpaid item strike (only ebay can see strikes) and you get a final value fee credit.
To prevent certain types of bidders from bidding, you should set your buyer requirements in My Ebay > Account > Site Preferences to block bidders with 2 or more unpaid item strikes in the past 12 months, 4 or more policy violations in the past 6 months, who do not have a paypal account or who live countries you do not ship to.

Hello 'dashiznew',
The moment you accept the best offer is when the listing ends. From that point the buyer has 4 days to pay, if only because a seller cannot file an Unpaid Item dispute before then. Most sellers send a friendly reminder at the end of day 3, and with still no word, open an Unpaid case at the end of day 4, - hour 96 if you're counting. Some sellers are exceptionally kind and generous and wait 7 days before opening the Unpaid case, but you don't have to wait that long if you don't want to.
Many people on ebay set their 'preferences' to limit the messages from ebay, - without which a person's regular email can get flooded with ebay promo stuff. So it is a wise idea to send that reminder yourself. The reminder note keeps things 'positive' in case the buyer really is away from the computer for a couple days or forgets. After all, the buyer will get ebay's notice of an Unpaid case, so when that buyer pays, - how happy will she be with you then? A gentle reminder shows what a good and thoughtful person you are. And if the buyer doesn't pay, then you do what you have to do. This here link tells you about Unpaids:

You can block people who 'buy' your items and don't pay, and people with Unpaid Item strikes (they tend to be repeaters). Also, - countries you don't ship to. People around the world can never believe what Canada Post actually charges. And if you are over-run with zero-feedback newbies who bid and don't pay, you may want to block those without paypal accounts. A paypal account does not mean the person pays, however, and one of the reason so few sellers do it. Plus, they don't want to miss out on all that credit card revenue. As one poster here aptly stated recently, - if you block too much you end up relisting your unsold items over and over. The following link tells you all about all the people you can block:

Happy selling! 🙂

You have the same 4 day time limit before you can start the unpaid item process as you do with a regular sale.
