Are sellers allowed to charge more than an item is worth?

For instance charging $100 for a Chanel eyeshadow that Chanel itself charges $80 for on their website?

Certainly.

It's called entrepreneurship.

Buy low, sell high.

There was a US seller who was buying Secret deodorant at her local drugstore and selling it on eBay Germany, where the product is not distributed, but is a cult item. It sold briskly with multiple bids for a few years.

And if you can't find a desperately wanted product anywhere else, then any price is acceptable.
