Hi there,,
I purchased from a buyer (purchased from them before in december) on saturday and paid for my item asap via paypal. I purchased another pair sunday morning (same week) because ad shows combined shipping as being free. I did not pay for my second item right away but sent and immediate message stating I found another awesome item and would like my new checkout total with free combined shipping since my purchase the day before had not been shipped. I even told them I'm ok with them putting everything in the one box to save them money on shipping (one pair of running shoes ordered saturday and knee high boots ordered sunday morning) I do not care about having the small box the running shoes would be shipping in.
The following day they email me back stating they only combine shipping if items are all ordered within a 7 day period and paid for all at once during checkout. However, the ad doesn't state this anywhere.
I did notice that within 2 hours of me sending my email stating if they could please make an exception because the ad does not clearly state this and I am offering to combine the packaging that they all of a sudden marked my first item as shipped??
I have been emailing them and they will not respond. The ad is misleading, I have not paid for my 2nd item still because I'm waiting to see if this seller who claims to want the customer 100% satisfied and to contact them if there are any issues responds to me.
thoughts?
what do I do now? I should not have to pay for the shipping on the 2nd item if auction shows they combine but with no further details?

Normally to get combined shipping, you buy several items and before paying for them, wait for the seller to send you one combined invoice which will have your discounts.
It sounds like this seller shipped your first paid item before you bought the second, so he wasn't given the opportunity to combine your items into one package. (Which saves him money, and allows him to save you money)
He may have marked the item shipped after you sent your email, but who knows when he actually shipped it.
I find it unlikely that he's purposefully avoiding a combined shipping opportunity. This normally saves you both money and is less work for him, so I find it unlikely.
In the future, wait until you are finished browsing a seller's items, then if you've purchase more than one, ask for an invoice with a total. This way you ensure he can do whatever he needs to do to get the discount to you.

"could please make an exception"
One of the problems here is that PayPal charges sellers added fees for every payment and they do NOT make any exception, even if the payments are made within minutes of each other.
On the other hand, I do not want to excuse the seller. A quick look at his feedback - before you buy the items - may have given you a hint NOT to buy from him:

Holy Hannah, wow yes have a look at his feedback, that's definitely an indicator.

Horrible seller it's too bad because I've bought from them in the past with no issues no all of a sudden since beginning of Feb everyone is having issues with them, tons of negative feedback within the past week.
I have not paid for my second item as they haven't responded to my request to cancel the transaction or discuss the matter.
Guess we will see if I even get the first pair.

I'm always leary of sellers who in their FB to sellers are always coming up with
"Please leave us 5 STAR DSR's" and "I LOVE you!" Had one seller who, about 3 times after I paid for an item - no way had I remotely rec'd it yet kept sending me the 5 STAR bit. I politely told him/her.....I ALWAYS leave 5 Stars IF the item is as described, etc. and will do the same.........WHEN RECEIVED!
