Can I accept an Offer when I didn't set up "best offer" in my listing ?

Hi - I asked this under "buyer something" on the other forum page - I am lost in these boards -maybe I should have posted here instead?

I have a good offer to buy 4 of my listings - can I accept -have them purchase the listings at the current "buy it now" prices -then adjust the invoice to equal the offer they made to me?? Will Ebay take "final Value Fees" on the ajusted invoice total" or the original "buy it now" values ?? Is this legal to do on Ebay ?? Don't want to ruffle the rules bit need to make some money fast- Thank you Melanie

I'll leave this page open-so I can find the answers when they come !! I bookmarked another thread before but now do not know how to find my bookmarks ?? So much to learn.......

Technically, no.

But if you have no other bidders (and remember that most bidding happens in the last few minutes of the listing) you can Revise the price, the title (to your customer's name) and the length of the listing.

You won't get any change in listing fees for this.

If he doesn't act promptly, Block him, change the listing back and think about whether adding Best Offer is for you. Some sellers like it, I don't.

I always just add a Best Offer option to the listings and tell the buyer to make the offer and I'll accept.

You could also revise the item price to the agreed upon price.

Same Difference.

Oh great - Never thought of that - so I just go to revise the listing and set those changes up then when the buyer is ready to move on it ? Thank you

Thank you - My buyer was eager and the transaction is going through fine - but as a newbee didn't consider that the person may back out after all that effort to change things - the listings had been up awhile already - I am pressed for some cash this week so will take the bird in hand - Thanks again Melanie
