I purchased an item -- before I received the item, the seller was removed from e-bay ( I had not complained) -- but the seller contacted me and asked me to be patient. A few days later than I would have normally expected, an equivalent item arrived -- I was satisfied -- pleased even. So how do I inform e-bay that this seller is ok, from my point of view -- or do I?

Hi birdbander.. Not really anything you can do. Ebay's decisions are theirs to make and thereafter , only the seller can try and resolve.
