I am a buyer that has had my email address removed as per eBay regulation policy.

I had bid on an item that had gone over my budget. I asked the seller through message & sending one to my email as well to cancel my bid should I win. The seller responded to me through email, that that was not a problem. As it turned out I didn't win the item I had bid on. I beleive I thanked the buyer. I had to send another email to a different and once again it said that I would not be covered under the eBay buyer protection plan. I don't understand why this has happened. The first time I saw this in my email I contacted eBay through telephone & I was told there was no problem & there was nothing listed against my name. Prince again I don't know why this has happened under reassurance of a eBay staff member.

First you have to take responsibility for your own actions.

Unless you can afford to pay, do not bid.

On the first auction, were you bidding or did you win?

If you won, the seller may have sent you a Mutual Cancellation request. If you agree to this, the transaction ends with no fallout for either of you.

If the seller instead opened an Unpaid Item Dispute, and you did not pay, you would get a Strike against your account. Most sellers have an automatic Block against bidders who do not pay and have such Strikes.

There is other fallout for non-payers, this may be what has happened to you.
