I am trying to purchase an item sold in the U.S. and I want to ship it to an address in the U.S.

I am trying to purchase an item in the US and have it shipped to an address in the US as a gift but since the seller doesnt ship to Canada I cant proceed with the purchase or even get to a point where I can write the US address at all. When I sign in through Ebay.com I can proceed all the way to the end including my billing address in Canada and the shipping address in the US  but I get a message saying I cant use my credit card and try with another one. I dont have a Paypal account or a second credit card **bleep**???????????

Have you tried entering the U.S. address into your eBay account as your "primary" shipping address just for the purposes of this sale?  (Be sure to switch it out afterwards!)

The seller might have non U.S. Paypal accounts blocked.
