Right now when I print a label through eBay, through PayPal and then Canada Post the amount paid doesn't show. I would like my customers - who are mostly from the US - to know I didn't overcharge them. I would also like to know that, as a buyer, the top-rated seller that received a 25% discount on the shipping costs, passed that on to me.

The 20 to 25% discount on Expedited Shipping is not only for TRS sellers. Any seller can get that discount by printing labels through Paypal.
Other Canada Post labels printed through PP get a 5% or so discount.
Sellers who use postage stamps may be getting similar discounts by buying stamps from stamp dealers.
Some sellers use the Expedited discount instead of a Handling charge. Bubblewrap ain't free.

The "actual postage" that would show up would be less than the amount you paid to Canada Post.
You are paying a fuel surcharge and GST on the postage. And eBay allows for a "handling" charge to cover the costs of packaging.
My poly envelopes for my dress patterns cost just under a dime apiece, for example. You may need boxes, kraft paper, tape, labels, coroplast stiffeners, CD mailers, etc.
The only customers who would care about a reasonable shipping cost, are the ones who would neg you for charging a nickel over the face value the stamps.
