Item was not shipped in 2 weeks as marked on ebay

I ordered my item on the 6th of feburary, and my ebay buyer marked it as shipped on the same day with provided USPS tracking number. Since then, for almost 2 weeks now, the tracking status only shows Electronic Info received, which means the post office only was notified he was going to ship it. But never receieved it. I am also in Canada. How do i know if the seller actually shipped it or not?

The number that the seller has given you is a proof of shipment number, NOT a tracking number. That number will tell you that the seller has shipped the item, but will not give you delivery updates.

I have had parcels from the US take up to a month to get to me. Be patient. Always remember to open a Paypal dispute before the 45 day mark.

This is very common. It was alarming for me the first couple of times I saw it as well. The amount of information you actually will see with those tracking numbers is really hit and miss. Sometimes it's quite thorough, other times you will only see what you are seeing. Most items I order from the US to Canada seem to take 2-4 weeks, unless some ridiculous upgrade in shipping is paid for. I wouldn't be concerned at this point.
