Listing says delivery up to 21 days, but after item is paid for, seller says 40 business days.

Seller doubled the delivery time after I paid for the items.  Now they say it will take 40 business days.  Business days do not normally include weekends so that means I would fall outside the 45 days for placing a resolution claim.  I can accept that they may be backlogged, but what can I do to protect myself?

NOTE:

I also bought an item from another seller and got the same exact long email from them.  This is no coincidence.  They must both be one and the same seller so that's why I am leery.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

File an item not received dispute against this seller 30...

When it gets close to the 40 day mark open a dispute if you haven't received the items.

The seller can say whatever he likes, but you still should expect your item to arrive within the 45 CALENDAR day period when you can make a claim.

Mark Day 40 on your calendar and file then.

And frankly, when a seller is futzing around like that, I would tend to think the worst. Don't listen to his excuses and self-serving bushwah.

Day 40? No delivery? File.

File an item not received dispute against this seller 30 calander days from when the listing ended. The seller is trying to make you go past the deadline so I wouldn't give them the extra 15 days before filing a dispute.

Non payers should get unpaid item strikes and be added to block bidders lists. Period.

The seller may just be protecting himself.

On Day 30, if the items have not arrived, contact the sellers and ask for the date of shipping , the service used and the Delivery Confirmation number.

Do NOT accept an offer to reship.

If the seller tries to put you off another week or so, and we are talking calendar days here, for the reasons you gave, go to the Resolution Centre and start an Item Not Recieved dispute.

If the seller cannot prove delivery, he or PP will refund you.
