A 0-feeback buyer used the buy-it-now and ended my auction. I got this email from him right after, says "I am truly sorry, I have never used ebay before and hit the wrong key. I do not want to buy this item. I apologize for any inconvenience."
Obviously he must've hit the wrong key twice in order to use the Buy-it-now. I'm not sure if I should wait 7 days to file the Unpaid Item Dispute, or should I contact the buyer and work something out? I'm not sure how I should respond to his email?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would have the buyer file a MUTUAL AGREEMENT TO CANCEL TRANSACTION request with eBay and once you receive it accept it and move on - add user to your block list obviously.
Since it is a new user it is hard to tell if they are being honest or most likely it is a case of buyer remorse.
Eitherway, try to avoid the negative and focus on getting a positive if you can.
Good Luck,
TIM @ FTL

Very good advice from Tim. Forget trying to work it out.

I would have the buyer file a MUTUAL AGREEMENT TO CANCEL TRANSACTION
Only a SELLER can file for this.
