Purchased the item , get's free shipping . However feels that free shipping is not fast enough . Then explains that he has not purchased the item yet

Tell him you'll send it to receive within 5 days, but he has to pay the difference between your normal shipping method's cost and the xpresspost (or whatever) rate you're going to have to pay. Tell him that free shipping does not mean free express shipping. Gloria

If I'm looking at the correct listings, the person has indeed "bought the item"! They ended your auction with a "buy it now" which is NOT the same thing as "possibly order it if you agree to my stipulations".

I think I'd remind him of that fact - in a polite way, of course, and then I'd consider changing my sales to "immediate payment required for buy it now".
