Item came from US to Canada. I paid for shipping ($50 CAD). Went to pick up my item to discover that it was listed as COD for another $50 CAD. I paid it in order to get my items.
Seller claims my items were hit with customs but I have no customs paperwork or stamps or anything to prove that. The Canada post labels WERE NOT custom labels, only COD.
The seller is not being helpful and since this issue isn't listed in the list of issues for contacting EBay, I cant get ahold of them. What the heck do I do?

Did your item arrive fed ex,or usp? could be a brokerage fee what was the value of the item. But being that the seller may be trying to pull a fast one here if you already paid shipping, something dont seem right here,Can you post a bit more information here, like the value, shipping service used ext?if there was duty im sure there would be some kind of paper work?

There are two possibilities here.
Just to be clear-- this was delivered by Canada Post?
Remember we are supposed to pay applicable import fees when the value of the import is over $20CDN (~$16USD).
If the charges were for duty, sales tax and the $9.95 Canada Post service fee, there should be an invoice from Canada Post indicating what was paid and to whom.
Those fees are not the responsibility of the seller, but of the importer (you).
Here is eBay's boilerplate about that.
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
The seller put the wrong weight and dimensions on the package and underpaid for the USPS service.
This is the seller's responsibility.
Since you have the parcel now, weigh and measure it then go here:
and see how much it would cost for the service that was actually used.
If the seller did not put enough postage on the parcel, then in my opinion you should be able to open an Item Not As Described dispute asking for the difference (in US funds ~$36 not $50CDN)
In addition of course you have 60 days from purchase to leave feedback, but try to settle the problem first.

About contacting eBay, after you have your facts clear as detailed above, pick a reason for calling eBay at random. But be aware that those are the points the minimum wage slaves are actually able to do something about.

Value of the package was $113.50 CAD. Initial shipping fees were $54.80 CAD. The shipper sent the items in two separate packages. Dont have the measure measurements anymore cause I opened it but the items bought were shoes. 4 came in one package wrapped in the plastic bag envelope and 1 was in another plastic bag envelope.
The parcel was shipped DHL to the border. Then DHL shipped the packages via Canada Post. Canada Post's labels were marked COD. There was a generic sticker that said that DHL applied $10/package for customs fees. I paid another addtional $50.46 CAD in order to get my packages.
Canada Post was actually the one who informed me that the labels were a straight COD and not customs. They told me they had no paperwork to suggest there was customs (which is legally required) and if they did indeed go through Canadian customs, there would be a stamp on the packages but there was none.
There was a DHL reference number on both the packages but that number came up with no reference on the DHL website.

I'm baffled.
