Struggling with expired listings imported into Turbo Lister

Apologies if this has been asked before, but my search in the Community did not render a succinct answer.

I used Turbo Lister to save a bunch of unsold, expired listings that were about to hit their 90 day life span. I want to amend the listings and re-post them, but Turbo Lister won't let me make changes (e.g. price, description). If I read the Turbo help file correctly, it looks like I have to upload the expired items and then post them for sale before I can make changes. That doesn't seem right, as I would hope I could make changes to listings before they go live.

Is there a way to upload from Turbo Lister into a draft folder of sorts on the ebay website, where I could hopefully then make the required changes? I have 340 highly customized listings I would like to amend as expediently as possible.

All help greatly appreciated, with thanks.

You should be able to edit in TL before relisting...I do it all the time.

No, I am unable to change any of the important information, price, description, shipping, etc., It's all greyed out. As the the "help" section of turbo lister:

"Ended listing can be viewed in the grid, but not edited. Ended listings must be relisted before you can revise them."

Silly restriction.

Re: Struggling with expired listings imported into Turbo Lister

Haven't used TL in some time, but is there not the option to schedule the listings to start in the future, upload them, and then look in your scheduled listings in eBay and do the revisions their?

If that's the case, that would be likely quite helpful. Do you know how to upload to list in the future?

Not sure how accurate this is put try this

Click the title to highlight the listing you want to upload.
If you want to schedule the listing to upload at a later date or time, select the Schedule option (at the top of the screen) and choose a date and time.

Hope that this is correct. But again, we haven't used TL in a long time and don't have access to the software at this point.

Re: Struggling with expired listings imported into Turbo Lister

I realize that this isn't likely to work for your needs, as TL will not put the auctions in the scheduled on eBay, but post direct at the scheduled time.  Sorry for the confusion.

I do appreciate your suggestions, thanks.

Re: Struggling with expired listings imported into Turbo Lister

If you want to edit unsolds, you have to move them into inventory.

Very easy to do.

Highlight all the unsolds you want to edit

Put your mouse anywhere on the blue highlighted area

left click but hold button down

Drag the files up to the left onto my items and release the mouse.

Wait a few moments until the number you highlighted in the unsolds show up under my items.

If you are hesitant, highlight one unsold and use the procedure to move 1 file over as practice.

Let me know if that works for you.

Hi there, and sorry for my delayed reply. I was out of town for awhile.

What you're suggesting appears to work. I haven't had a chance to take an ended listing and make alterations in the "inventory" section and upload to the live ebay site. I will work to do that in the near future, and report back. Smiley Happy

Hello again. So... while I was able to edit a bunch of listings, I am unable to upload them. They all have error messages which read "error - this item cannot be accessed because the listing has been deleted, is a half.com listing, or you are not the seller."

I was the seller, the listings were not on half.com (no idea what that even is), and so I wonder if I'm at a dead end. Really really hoping not. I have 340 items I want to get back onto ebay.

All help greatly appreciated.

Re: Struggling with expired listings imported into Turbo Lister

It's a common problem. Duplicate the listing (in uploads) and delete the original.

I had edited the expired listings by first copying them over into "inventory", made my edits and then copied the edited listings into the uploads folder. It's when I try uploading from the upload folder that I get the error message.

When you say "delete the original", in which location do you mean? The originals are no longer present on ebay, as far as I can tell.

Re: Struggling with expired listings imported into Turbo Lister

Move all the listings from the waiting to upload back into inventory and delete them from waiting to upload.

Take one of the listings in inventory, highlight it and click on add to upload. The listing will move to waiting to upload and you can click on upload all which should only be one listing. See if it uploads as a test.

Remember which listing it is and make sure you don't leave it in inventory after the upload.

Re: Struggling with expired listings imported into Turbo Lister

When you have your listings in uploads (ready to upload). Take one listing, right click on it and duplicate it, and the delete the original. All of this in the uploads folder.

Something must be wrong with the tl instillation or files. I import, edit and relist on a regular basis. tl is buggy though.

Re: Struggling with expired listings imported into Turbo Lister

This is a legacy problem with TL. There used to be a third party company that made free templates for Ebay. If you ever used one of them in your regular Ebay listing and then you synced with TL down the road,  it gives that error. Just follow what I mentioned above. It won't happen to all your listings and it will eventually subside with newer ones you create.
