This is nuts!

I am aware that nut allergies are serious business.  But............................

Picked up a bag of almonds on clearance table at Shoppers.  This warning was on the package:

Nut Allergy Alert:  This product may contain nuts. 

First of all, it better contain nuts.  And, secondly, does that mean there is someone out there that doesn't know an almond is a nut.  I would guess that those people who have nut allergies would know.  Maybe this is a government mandated warning, but it seems, well.....................a little absurd.

The current labeling laws are serving the lowest common denominator.

You don't want people doing things that can harm them without at least warning them first.
