Most of our buyers are US buyers so we have had to do that as well.

What i would do and i do this every night is look at your competitors stuff compare and price accordly. See what he does different and adjust to it. Maybe try different sources for items. i even sold mystery items thats work for bit. But i start to realize to spred in many catergories cover alot of listing.
I rather sell on ebay.com more hits. But i use whack beads myself. Ours store show cross promote each other. I offered someone that chance in the states. But i guess since i help her out and nows she making more money than she can. In my industry cross promotion my key to someone else's success. You can advertise someone elses store in your store. I want to try this but havent really found anybody thats will also try it.
As for sales i get question where they want 120 pieces at a time. crazy eh

Are you saying that the more items there are listed in a category, the better chance you have to sell your item? I thought that the more competition there is, the less chance you have. My items can be listed in a large number of categories. I am forever spreading my auctions around all of them. Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to list them all in just one and hope for the best.

Just curious since you brought the subject up....Is there any way to tell what category your item actually sold from? I sometimes list certain items in 2 categories and it would be very useful to know where the hits are coming from. It would save alot of fees if I could just list in the "appropriate" category.
Thanks
Joy

Not that I know of. I have a book where sometimes I keep track of where an item is sold from. Although, I don't know how useful that is. Sometimes when I relist an unsold item with no changes, it has multiple bids next time around.
I have been playing around with keywords in the titles. This is a subject that I don't know enough about. People are "buying" the keywords that I use. How does that work? Does that mean they are getting more hits. My listings cost enough already without this potentially very expensive added cost.

Some of that can be found in Sales Reports for your Ebay Store, but the information is quite limited, and applies only to store listings and searches from within your store.
If you -REALLY- want some useful information on your listings (ip address, geographic lookups, search terms, arrival page, what page you were on in their search, whether they bookmarked you, whether they emailed your link to a friend, whether they chose to "View Seller's Other Items", whether they looked at a cross promotion, whether they bid, bought, etc, and TONS of other statistical information) - then you need to go to sellathon dot com and take a look at their ViewTracker product. I used the free trial for about 4 days before I signed up for real. It's amazing how helpful it is, and even more amazing the kind of intel they give you (ie, how many other items a person who "Watches" your item is watching too - even how LONG someone spent looking at your listing). Mildly frightening when you think about being the buyer in that scenario..
I can't recommend it highly enough.

It's a really helpful place to check on specific keywords and see how they perform - pretty big sample size as compared to doing this kind of research by hand through Ebay's "Completed Listings" for the last 30 days.
