This is the message board on the Canadian ebay site, - I guess you knew that?
Perhaps it is just a question of wording, so let's see if I've got this right. On October 23 you paid for an item. Did you buy it from the ebay site, using Buy-it-Now? That means you clicked B-i-N and then clicked Commit-to-Buy. You should then have clicked Pay Now, and followed through with payment. Is that what you did?
That puts the item in your Purchase History. Is the listing there now? If you bought it on ebay, it will be there. If you paid, the little dollar sign $ will be dark blue.
If you did all that, you should have received a notice in your regular email from ebay. Before payment, you get a notice reminding you to pay. After payment, you get a paypal receipt and an ebay confirmation receipt, - all sent to your regular email. Did you not get anything?
Do you have the correct email address registered with ebay? You can check by going finding the My eBay at the top of the page, clicking the Account tab, then Personal information, then locating the Registered email address and making sure it's the right one. It's surprising how often people goof that one.
You have a paypal account, right? Did you pay directly from a paypal balance, or did you use an echeque? An echeque is when you have no money in your paypal account, so paypal takes it from your bank account. It can take up to 10 days to clear, and a seller cannot ship an item before it does. What does it say in your paypal account Transactions? If the money is gone, there will be purchase information details.
That is how an ebay purchase works.
If, however, you sent money from your paypal account to someone, - or some other site or person led you to believe you bought this item 'through' ebay, - you may have lost your money. If you bought it from an ebay site, then you should be okay.
How about this, - if you could post the item number, - just the item number - that would make it all much clearer. The item number is a string of 12 digits in (brackets) under the listing in your Purchase History.
Before working yourself into a panic, you can get a lot of the information you need yourself. Check your ebay and paypal. And most important, there is no way an item could have reached you in 3 days. 3 weeks is more likely, - maybe longer. If your money is gone from your account, first try to find out for yourself where it went.
And if you made a purchase on ebay, you can always use the Ask a question link on the listing to contact the seller.
