There are other choices.
Buyers can offer to pay with a money order, personal cheque, cash, heck, even Canadian Tire Money. The seller does not have to accept and there is no Buyer Protection but it is possible.
Sellers can use other electronically visible payment services. Buyers are not used to these alternates and often will pass by sellers using them. The costs are about the same.
Sellers can also use their own merchant credit card accounts. We offer this on our B&M account, but most new buyers prefer to use Paypal for their early purchases. Costs are slightly higher than PP, especially if you have a point of sale terminal.
Good luck in your future online business.
