Hi People,

Looking for a good accounting program and heard that "Simply Accounting" was one of the best.

95% ++ of my sales are to the U.S. So which version am I looking for? Am I still looking at the "Canadian" version?

If so, what kind of prices should I be expecting? Is it any cheaper on eBay rather than say Future Shop?

I am using version 8.0 (old) but the main purpose is not ebay. I don't use the dual currency for ebay as I only post a summary when I transfer funds to my bank account.

As for buying on ebay, I have found there are not too many available. You can save some money. Bilingual may refer to English/ Spanish!

Watch out for the system requirements. Seems the newer version need lots of computing power.

I'm just looking for one which would be ideal for eBay as this is the only place I sell and the only reason I am buying it...

I'll likely take a look at Future Shop and see if they have the right version.

I use simply accounting. Doesn't matter where you ship to. When I go into "invoices" there is a drop down menu and I have a variety of choices. BC customer,Canadian customer,US Ebay customer, US Web customer etc.

which version do you use though? I'm just wondering which one I should buy as there seems to be different ones...i.e. "simply accounting - basic" , "simply accounting - pro" , "simply accounting - bilingual" ,etc.

I just don't want to end up getting something the wrong one or getting something I don't need...

I use Simply Accounting Basic - 2004 (received tax updates for 2005 as well, but Simply 2005 has also now been released.)

I use it for a couple of businesses and think it is great. I use the dual currency for Ebay and it saves me a ton of time in currency conversions.

I don't think you will be disappointed.

i have Version 8 of simply accounting that i want to get rid of, switching to quickbook pro.

May I ask why you're switching to Quickbooks pro? Is one easier to use than the other? What are your reasons for choosing Quickbooks over Simply Accounting? I need a program too but never really liked Simply Accounting and haven't tried Quickbooks.

I'd love to know your reasons if you don't mind sharing.

There's really no logical reason, it just seems quickbooks is more popular around here; but i am sure both programs would serve you well as they have been around a long time.
