This is a welcome development ... any word on what sort of Canada Post discount will be extended to sellers?

It is my understanding that USA sellers receive a 9% discount with their USPS-eBay deal....so maybe Canadian sellers can expect a similar discount via Canada Post-eBay deal?

US sellers generally receive the discount that USPS gives to commercial accounts. As far as I know, the only extra subsidy that ebay provides is an extra discount (5%?) on Priority mail for trs. USPS used to provide that discount as well but when they dropped it, ebay continued it for top rated sellers. However, I do hope that ebay and/or CP can offer off a better discount than what many of us have been received. $22 to mail a 129 gram package from Alberta to Toronto is outrageous imo.

Hi @kawartha-ephemera - I had to run this one up the flag pole, but I finally heard back!
"At launch, the rates will be up to 12% off retail rates for domestic, and 11% off retail rates for US, and 31% off retail rates for international."
Thanks!

Absolutely, National CP rates are terrible, as you say even small lightweight items cost an arm and a leg. At those rates an awful lot of merchandise can no longer be profitably sold online.

Thanks Tyler.
Some may like this aspect too, from the FAQs section;
"Instead of paying for labels individually at the time of purchase, you will see all your label charges and adjustments as well as cancellation credits on your monthly eBay invoice. You will only see transactions within the invoice period."

sounds too much like Shippo; I prefer paying for my labels at time they are purchased and used...as I do now with PayPal.

We’ll let you know when your listings are missing item location postal Codes
I like the attempt to improve item location details, instead of "Canada" or some other vague location.

Does this mean that we will eventually be able to automatically issue a return label through ebay for returns? If so, would it be for just domestic returns?

Well that's great!
Today I paid $78 for a 64gr ExpressPost International package going to China.
I mitigated the cost by using stamps (including two $10 whales, which should thrill my stamp collecting customer) purchased at a discount and my Small Business Solutions card.
But still.

Chipped beef on toast? Is that something he asked for or is it a punishment for laughing at you? Lol!

Note that these are not special discounts, this is the same discount you get with a Level 1 Canada Post Small Business Account.

I just find it interesting that with the US spring update its possible to ship Internationally for a seller ****"can select the eBay international standard delivery option as an economical choice to deliver your product. You can take the package to any USPS drop off location, or arrange a regular USPS package pickup. Tracking will be automatically uploaded on eBay and tracked to the final destination." Yet Canadian sellers are expected to ship with Tracking without any sort of substantial discount."**** As for Canadian sellers and the spring release we get the same standard rates we've accumulated based on the our current discounts with Canadapost. Heaven forbid we use economical(untracked) shipping because of low valued items because your normal buyer refuses to pay for high shipping for that item.
eBay has basically dangled a string with no carrot attached. Nothing really negotiated, nothing gained for dot ca. Again!!!!

Hi @pjcdn2005 - sorry I missed this one yesterday!
The new platform will only be for 'outbound' shipping labels, return labels aren't yet supported. No word on if that will be coming in the future either I'm afraid.

I also prefer paying my labels one at a time.
By the way, Shippo gives you that option too. It is deducted from my PayPal account a few hours after I buy/print it.
