OK..so thats ridiculous..when do the two small deposits appear in the same bank account you have in your computers? This is NOT a good way to treat a customer..and I have bought many thousands of dollars worth of cards, coins and stamps over the years as you know also..Now your involved in Candian Taxes being acquired by you?  Odd how all this comes up after I fill a EBAY questionaire you sent me,And I expressed my dismay with all the fees Im hit with!

The micro deposit system of confirming identity doesn't work very well.

I've seen it posited that the problem is that US currency is being sent to Canadian bank accounts and the foreign exchange is fouling it up.

Most Canadians don't like to use our SIN for identification and eBay has been told they can't demand that. But members can voluntarily use it if they like.

I used my passport (the picture is actually not bad) and DH used his driving license.

FWIW - Two of my accounts had a lot of problems in the setup, but once those were fixed, the payments that had been Held were promptly transferred to the appropriate banks.

The social media people are employees , well trained and were very helpful in the months it took to clear the problems.
