First US order via eiS

Well, so it started...My first sale to the USA since the dreaded 29/8. The buyer contacted me asking for specifics about my listing, which I responded and, seeing that he was seriously interested, we negotiated a deal and he agreed to the purchase.

I explained to him that, being a vintage electronic piece from Japan, tariffs would be due, possibky on top of duties and taxes, and that eBay would show him the breakdown of all fees upon checkout.

The order got paid and I purchased the CP label for shipping to the Mississauga hub. Once packaged, the order was dropped at a local CP outlet and...we'll see how it goes from there.

In terms of what I see, I can only see the proceeds that concern me, and not what the buyer has to pay for the extra shipping, plus the duty and tariffs.

I'll keep updating to see how it goes its way to the buyer in the Peach State.

EIS would have provided the extra costs to them so hopefully it is a smooth go.

Edit.  Took a look on .com and shipping for the a buyer in NY shows as over $37US so they knew the score up front.

First stage completed. The order arrived to the Mississauga hub today, all inspections passed (yes!) , and now the label is generated for the DHL service to send the package to the buyer, in the US.

And away it goes! All packed and on its way to USPS Glendale Heights, to continue its route to the buyer.

I have to say, a package received, inspected, labelled and sent in about 24 hours is  impressive. I don't think I've ever seen an order from the US coming so fast out of their shipping hub. Quite the opposite.

Well, consider how much volume the Mississauga hub is presently dealing with compared to Glendale Heights.  😁
