Questions about Time Away

Does having your store as "Time Away" pushes the estimation of the shipping date accordingly?

Also, let's say I offer Lettermail and UPS while I'm Time Away, can I still ship UPS? (Sellers can still use the system while in Time Away?)

Never used that feature yet.

Thanks for your answer, guys.

Re: Questions about Time Away

If you Turn on Time Away and leave your listings visible (15 day maximum) your handling time is supposed to be adjusted.

Being on Time Away does not change any of your access to shipping or any other functions.

Re: Questions about Time Away

If you go on Time Away, you can also make your listings invisible.

No visibility. No sales. No shipping problem.

Why would you want to tease the customer by selling to them and then telling them they can't have the parcel until such and such a date?  That's just annoying.

Re: Questions about Time Away

That's what I think also. It seems that's what a lot are doing, unfortunately.

So I'm trying to analyze all the possibilities. Personnally, I offer only what is available. I think I will stick to UPS/FedEx only for the moment..

I didn't know about the items invisible. That's good to know.

I think for others another concern are parcels that were dropped off but never went anywhere. I had 1 I dropped off 1 day before strike officially started. Unfortunately untracked international. Listing shows as delivery by Dec 5. That's not going to happen.  devon@ebay  Will those scenarios will get updated...meaning extended (but not positive on that)?  Spitballing here but too bad they couldn't get refreshed to when strike officially ends. Probably being wayyy too optimistic for that to happen??

CP hasn't shown estimates for that service for several years so unsure where the estimate buyers see is coming from.

PS. As a side the customer messaged me the day after label was created and asked why shipment wasnt showing updates. Have explained to them several times it was non tracked due to item value. They have messaged me since asking where it is. Asking them to be patient does not work for every customer.
