Can you guys please look at my listings and let me know if they are visible to the US and if a shipping shows for the States?
I find it very strange that I have not had a sale to the USA in a long time, especially now close to the Holidays.
I have been enrolled in the IES but on the majority of my listings I still have my own shipping. I would like to know what is going on.
Thanks for your help.

Hey there, I used a us postal code to search on .ca and on .com. Your listings do show up. Just to note, when I searched for vintage steinbach nutcracker on .com, there are 5000 available! So lots of competition for that particular item.

Are the the shipping costs with IES outrageously high? What appears on the .com website when Americans view Canadian listings that turns them off?

They are higher than the other options. I wouldn't call them outrageous, but they can deter people from ordering.
I think this could be the reason (it shows in some of your listings). US buyers are now weary of ordering from Canada or other countries:

Try searching for you items on .com while logged out and use a US zip code for shipping. You should see how the shipping is presented.

There is nothing unusual about not having a sale to the USA these days...just as many Canadians are NOT purchasing so much from the USA, USA buyers are also NOT purchasing so much anymore from Canada..PLUS Pokemon cards are out there by the thousands...everywhere, not just on eBay...so there is that....PLUS vintage, figurines, etc, etc, are not selling so great on eBay anymore...many vintage sellers are finding vintage items difficult to sell these days...

I looked at a few of your listings. For one of them, eIS shows as a shipping method to other countries that I checked, but your own shipping method shows for shipping to the United States. eIS may have been dropped for US destinations on that one because the item is described in the item specifics as "handmade". This particular item might be too much of a challenge for the eIS bot to calculate tariffs for due to the unknown country/ies of origin of the materials used.

Important to consider "some" categories of listings are not permitted. Partial list of available by checking details at ebay help. Search word eis. It's been determined since eIS was open for business there are other categories/sub-categories were omitted.

Important to consider that there are some categories where eIS appears to be problematic for use to the United States, but just fine for most if not all of the other destination countries on its "ships-to" list.

This is what your U.S buyers will see for your Vintage Royal Winton Golden Age Teapot Creamer and Sugar Bowl Set listing.

In days when the USA had a sane president, my sales to the USA made up about 90% of the action, although that had been dropping to ~80% post Covid.
A glance at my sales book shows that only three of my last 15 sales went to the USA, (and one overseas which is normal).
Because I sell collectables, which are not usually giftable, this is a slow period for me in any case.
With that as a given, sales are acceptable both in number and value.
As always, YMMV.

Destination aside.
You have made 59 sales in the past 90 days.
Of those 24 were in November.
If eBay's report matches your own, I'm not sure if what you are seeing is not increased interest in your products during the holiday season, even if the destination is Canada or Australia rather than the USA.

I'm slow in Nov-Dec. I have some things that can be gifted, but most people shop to buy things for themselves (or random gifts throughout the year). Jan-Mar is my busy time of year. We'll see how it compares in 2026 to 2025 and 2024... that ought to be interesting.

Hi. I've been logging on to ebay.com and then taking a look at my listings via 'seller's other items' or store link. That way, I only see which of my listings are showing up on .com vs what is showing up on .ca So far, there is NO rhyme or reason to it and only about 25% of my listings are showing up, even though almost all of my listings fall within a few specific categories (eg. slipcovers, curtains, duvet covers) and would have no reason to be excluded if a similar item is included.
Just today, for example, I had a USA customer asking about buying only a sofa bed slipcover (when looking at a combo listing for sofa bed and footstool covers). Yet, I have a listing for the exact same sofa bed cover (I have 2 identical covers in stock) listed separately already (but THAT listing isn't showing on ebay.com--at least, not in my .com store listings).

I am fairly sure I was once told to forget everything I knew about slipcovers (Couldn't resist. Thanks Mitch)

Not all your listings show eIS as a shipping option to major destinations such as the United Kingdom. I'm not sure why. The few non-eIS listings that I looked more closely at don't have the United States listed as a "ships to" location. That's strange, because I would have thought that if anything would have caused a US shipping block, it would have been eIS.

If sales are off, it might be a good opportunity to revisit all of your listing, perhaps only 10 or 15 a day, looking for problems like older (pre-Trump) items that don't have country of origin down in the international shipping section.*, or duplicated listings, or Sold items that have relisted or items that need PL or discounting or a price rise.
Don't try to do it all at once. That's a way to burn out.
* Country of Origin is an Additional Item Specific in my categories. This is not the same thing.
